The Park Jura Vaudois is one of Switzerland’s regional nature parks. It has been recognised as a site of national importance by the Swiss federal government since 2013.
The park is a role model for sustainable development. Its landscapes, biodiversity, local character and living traditions lend it a unique regional flavour.
The 'Park' label
The Swiss federal government awards the ‘park of national importance’ label for a ten-year period to parks that boast valued countryside and landscapes which are largely undeveloped. The member local authorities sign a contract, undertaking to achieve the ten-year objectives set out in the Charter.
On 17 October 2022, the Park Jura Vaudois had its label renewed for ten years, until 2032.
